Dutch shipyard Amels has announced the floating of a 77.8m/255ft fully-custom luxury yacht during a private event at the Vlissingen yard last week.
In the presence of her Owner’s team, project designers and the Amels and Damen Yachting team, the vessel touched water for the first time since entering the shipyard back in January 2020: The dry dock pumps were activated and the keel submerged, floating the superyacht up off her dry dock.
The exterior styling and layout were created by Espen Øino and his team, whilst the interiors are the work of Zuretti Interior Design. Of note are the large open top deck, an aft swimming pool and oversized side decks which can be used at private balconies by guests.
By volume, the custom 78-metre superyacht will be the largest Amels vessel to date once delivered, coming in at 2,850 GT. The onboard accommodation sleeps up to 14 guests and 26 crew plus the Captain, and delivery is set for 2022.
