October 11, 2013, saw the Fifth Ocean 24 yacht start her first sea trials under a charming blue sky in the warm autumn of Ukraine. Built by Fifth Ocean Yachts to a design by Jaron Ginton, motor yacht Fifth Ocean 24 is due to embark on her maiden voyage by March 2014.
A list of tests was performed during the trials with satisfactory results for the shipyard and surveyors. A note of merit for the performance was given to Caterpillar; the twin C7 engines propel luxury yacht Fifth Ocean 24 at 9.3 knots with 1775 RPM and average fuel consumption of 23 lph.
Manoeuvrability test revealed exceptional agility during manoeuvring. Also, the first survey of sound and vibration was carried out without the furniture fitted onboard. This will allow Fifth Ocean Yachts to tailor the last details of the sound and vibration insulation to give the best comfort to the owner and his guests.
