June 9, 2014, was marked by the XXIV edition of one of the most prominent competitions in Poland – ‘Teraz Polska’, which took place in the Grand Theatre in Warsaw. The Sunreef 80 Carbon Line yacht LEVANTE, a superb catamaran built by Sunreef Yachts shipyard, appeared among the winners. The company also won in the category of companies with high export potential.
The award, on behalf of Sunreef Yachts, was received by the President and founder of the company – Mr. Francis Lapp. He could not hide his satisfaction from the award at such a prestigious competition. The company has been designing and building the highest quality luxury catamarans-superyachts for more than 13 years now in the legendary Gdansk shipyards. It currently has offices in Shanghai, Dubai and Miami, and the products with the Sunreef Yachts logo are well known and appreciated by customers all over the world.
The awarded in the “Teraz Polska” competition, Sunreef 80 Carbon Line superyacht LEVANTE is an innovative unit constructed from lightweight composite materials used in the aeronautical industry. The total weight of the boat does not exceed 45 tonnes. Sail area on windward courses equal 340 m², and the long and sporty figure of the yacht has been carefully studied in order to reduce resistance of air and water to minimum. The purpose of the yacht is fast sailing at 15 knots and the top speed on sails is estimated at 20 knots and above. Genoa and arrowhead are made of D4 Vectran and the Gennaker of Cuben Fiber – the best available synthetic materials for sailing yachts. The first unit was launched in July 2013, and another one is currently under construction.
This is the second prestigious award received by Sunreef 80 Carbon Line luxury yacht LEVANTE. Last week, the catamaran was awarded the European Medal awarded by the Business Centre Club.
