Sunreef Yachts have revealed the first images of the SUNREEF ZERO CAT, a luxury sailing catamaran measuring over 29.4m (90’). The design which is being developed by the shipyard’s R&D department will be able to produce clean hydrogen on board, giving a highly sustainable yachting experience.
In addition hydro generators and solar cells are planned to be integrated in the yacht’s bodywork. The eco-credentials continue with net zero emissions, no nitrogen or sulfer oxides, low noise and vibration plus a low-maintenance overall design.
Co-founder of Sunreef Yachts, Nicolas Lapp commented on the project stating, “Our goal is to revolutionise the industry by offering discerning customers an exceptional zero-emission sailing experience. This project represents a milestone in our ongoing commitment to protecting our oceans and preserving the natural beauty of the seas”.
The SUNREEF ZERO CAT looks to be a stylish addition to the successful range of Sunreef Catamarans designed and built in Poland. We look forward to seeing the design in build in the near future.
