The construction of the first SUNSEEKER 161 as begun at Icon Yachts with the expected delivery of the project in Septemeber 2022.
This 49m superyacht was first presented at the Monaco Yacht Show last year, where the details on the metal-built superyachts series were first revealed.
“A move into metal means there is no ceiling as to how big we can go in the future, but obviously this requires different expertise and so it was essential to find the right partner to support the project. Finding experience and expertise in metal build was not the issue,” comments Sunseeker sales director Sean Robertson on the collaboration with Icon Yachts.
The exterior profile, naval architecture and engineering will be taken care of by Sunseeker. Design Unlimited is responsible for the interiors, however, the superyacht series has fully customisable design depending on the owner’s preferences.
Among luxurious amenities, there will be a spacious beach club and a plunge pool located on the main deck.
Accommodation layout will have space for ten guests in five cabins to sleep overnight.
