Sunseeker International have announced, that they will launch their new Sunseeker 40 m Yacht at the upcoming PSP Southampton Boat Show. The company’s new superyacht, which will be available to view at marina berth M540, builds on the successful Sunseeker 37 metre yacht.
Despite a worldwide downturn, Sunseeker continues to enjoy global popularity and exceptional success. This is down to a number of factors, not least the firm’s constant drive for innovation, which means new and ever more desirable boats are launched every year. Sunseeker’s latest vessel, the Sunseeker 40 Metre Yacht, is the perfect example of this – a motoryacht of majestic proportions and exceptional grace.
Developed following the unprecedented popularity of the Sunseeker 37 Metre Yacht (of which nine have been delivered to date) and the subsequent success of the Sunseeker 34 Metre Yacht (12 delivered to date), 30 Metre Yacht (10 delivered to date) and the Sunseeker Predator 130 (two delivered to date), the new 40 Metre SuperyachtYacht incorporates all the best elements of the 37 Metre Yacht but also enjoys other exciting new elements like balconies and increased exterior deck spaces.
Approaching the vessel, the most noticeable development is that, compared to the 37 Metre Yacht, the stern of the Sunseeker 40 Metre MotorYacht has an increased rake which gives an impressive streamlined profile and features a sharp, ocean-going bow. Passengers enjoy steps which curve inwards on each side of the hydraulic central bathing platform, providing a true superyacht feel when boarding. The main deck cockpit is also significantly larger with an extended aft deck, allowing for a number of customised layouts to suit each clients requirements.
Significantly, the interior of the new Sunseeker superyacht 40m is across three decks and offers the option of balconies on either side of the main deck saloon, and on one side of the master stateroom – opening up magnificent seascapes and bringing in more natural light.
Light is a major feature of the vessel. Following classification approval the large, panoramic portlights, a trademark on smaller Sunseekers, have been incorporated into the guest cabins of the lower deck of the new 40 Metre from Sunseeker, transforming the side profile of the Yacht and allowing the lower deck guest cabins to bathe in natural light.
Extra space is also achieved on the skydeck, where the removal of the fixed raised sunbathing area forward allows the floor level to be extended, providing significantly more deck space and more flexibility for highly customised layouts to suit personal use.
The 40 m Sunseeker Yacht to be displayed at the Southampton Boat Show has had a number of unique custom modifications, including an extended wheelhouse deck layout which offers greater flexibiity and the addition of an upper deck stateroom created as a result of having all four crew cabins on the lower deck. The skydeck layout has also been highly customised in order to maximise space and to offer a combination of formal and informal seating, while the main deck saloon has an oval feature bar positioned aft to serve both the saloon and main aft deck cockpit. The vessel also features an integrated touch-screen-controlled lighting system and state-of-the-art audio visual system installed on the main and upper decks featuring Bang & Olufsen equipment.
When so many features abound such a beautiful craft, it’s little wonder the company already has several 40 Metre Yachts in production – and more on order as far in advance as 2012. It’s thanks to majestic vessels such as the 40 Metre Yacht that Sunseeker now sells to five continents and 61 countries – proof that the firm is truly a global icon.
