Established last April, Italianyachtmasters, the new Captains club, is following the course set few months ago. After meeting the most significant realities of the yachting industry at the Monaco Yacht Show as well as at the Global Superyacht Forum in Amsterdam and playing a host to the Captains Day in the Yacht Club Marina di Loano in Italy, the Club continues to develop its projects.

The aim of Italianyachtmasters is to select their members among the best Captains with strong ethics and elevate their education and skills. They like to create a new breed of Captains with a wider horizon.
The Club has recently signed a letter of intent with NAVIGO, a consortium of the major yards and industry of the Italian yachting production. With NAVIGO Italianyachtmasters are planning several ambitious projects over the next few years, enforced with the support of the industry and the best Italian University.
NAVIGO Superyacht Academy
The Italiantyachtmasters members will be provided with professional courses,( STCW 2010, ISPS, ISM, MLC, ECDIS etc.), technical courses provided by the yachting industry and university courses and stages (English, administration, management, human resources, tourism etc.).
The Superyacht Academy will where possible start to use the e-learning for their members that will not be able to attend class.
The Superyacht Academy Masters will have a wider culture and a deeper formation in many other subjects on the top of their nautical skills. We all know that nowadays a good Captain is like an AD of a medium size company running people and tools in order to guarantee a good result to the Boat owner. The University wishes to give those Captains the rights tools to excel.
At the same time the Superyacht Academy is considering vital the formation of the future generations providing cadets from the nautical institutes some periods on board of practical experience on super yachts.
Italianaychtmasters will have a corner at YARE SUPERYACHTS CAPTAIN FORUM in Viareggio next February. They are providing their members with special fares for Ecdis courses held by LITAV and a Meteorological course in Loano held by Navimeteo. They also have in schedule soon, the first Fraseryachts-Italianyachtmasters workshop in order to better learn how management, brokers and crew agency works in their offices to run the boats we command.
Italianyachtmasters is in the process of establishing contacts with the Italian Administration in order to be involved in the legislative process as consulting party regarding all the rules concerning our trade.
Very soon all Italianyachtmasters members will also join the Captains Club of Monaco Yacht Club.
The Club is open to any other group of Captains worldwide that can share their vision, ethic and dreams.
