Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has successfully launched the 55m/180.5ft luxury yacht AL WAAB II, the world’s longest steel and aluminium luxury yacht under 500 GT.
She is the first superyacht to be launched with the new 2,000-tonne capacity ship lift at the Antalya Free Zone as part of its investment into yacht building infrastructure.
The Owner of the motor yacht AL WAAB II wanted to use his yacht as a ‘home on the sea’ for his family, and this principle was the key influence on the entire design. The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins, including a spectacular split-level master suite on the upper deck. Guests onboard have an abundance of outdoor space to connect with the environment, and there is a spacious beach club.
Vripack provided the design and engineering for the build, which was completed in only two years despite the setbacks created by the pandemic.
Following outfitting, M/Y AL WAAB II will complete her sea trials and then make her public debut in late September 2021.
