As a result of the successful By Tourist FAM trip for international brokers and yachting press in the spring, By Tourist will be welcoming superyacht captains to the enchanting Naples in Italy for the fourth time. The event, organised specifically for superyacht captains, will include various training opportunities, visits to superyacht building facilities as well as a generous program of cultural activities.
It is organised in partnership between The Luise Group and the Palumbo Shipyard, both located in Naples. Their aim is to promote innovative companies operating in the nautical sector, such as MV Marine, known for their line of innovative superyacht tenders.
Superyacht Captains will gather to find out more about what the Neapolitan peninsula and Castellammare di Stabia have to offer in terms of technical expertise, yacht construction and refit, anchorage opportunities and berthing along the coast. In addition, a visit to the Punta Campanella and Ischia has been organised in order to provide captains with a possibility to learn more about exclusive excursions which can be organised for their owners and charter guests alike.
The event will take place from November 25th until December 3rd with the opening weekend including visits to the historic centres of Naples and Sorrento, exclusive guided tours of historical sites and museums, as well as culinary experiences with the traditional cuisine of the region, comprising the world-famous Neapolitan pizza and Michelin starred restaurants. Visits to a number of high-end luxury stores are also on the agenda, such as Brunello Cucinelli and Bulgari.
Numerous important guests have already confirmed their participation including captains of luxury super yachts belonging to prominent Heads of State and well-known Russian and Italian super yacht owners. With a 30% increase in both private and charter super yacht visits to the area in 2016 from the previous season, the VIP luxury tourism sector in the region is strengthening their partnerships with the nautical sector to support the superyacht industry in the region.
