Entry applications continue to come in for the Superyacht Cup Palma 2015, set to run in the beautiful Mallorca yacht charter location from June 17 to 20. So far, nineteen yachts have registered for this popular Mediterranean regatta.
Sailing yacht Tulip, the striking German Frers designed 26m sloop built by KM Yacht Builders in Holland has registered this week. Tulip´s classic look above the waterline may be deceiving as her modern underwater shape, lifting keel and light displacement give her impressive performance and maneuverability. Tulip last competed at SYC in 2013 and since then has been enjoying extensive cruising, they are looking forward to coming back to Palma to take part in the regatta in June.
Y.CO continue to support the Superyacht Cup, as always the familiar giant yellow buoys (shown in the photo above) will be prominent around the bay this year. The start and finish lines for each race are marked by the buoys in signature Y.CO yellow. Y.CO is the challenger brand of the global superyacht industry pioneering innovation and bringing a new dynamic, modern approach to superyacht sales, purchase, charter, management, new construction and refit.
Another yacht the organizers are excited to see returning to participate this year is the Royal Huisman built 47m charter yacht Hyperion. Designed by Frers and built in 1998 she has recently had an extensive refit at Huisfit in Holland. Royal Huisman have confirmed their on-going sponsorship and will join with other platinum level sponsors as co-hosts of the Superyacht Cup Owner’s Dinner at the St Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort.
