One of the highly-anticipated deliveries of this season has taken place, with the 74-metre motor yacht AURORA having been handed over to her Owner, just in time for the summer holidays. Built by one of the most respected shipyards, Lurssen, with exterior and interior design by Winch Design, AURORA was created with immaculate perfection and attention to detail.
The delivery has taken place following her successful sea trials that concluded at the end of May in the Baltic Sea. She will soon leave for her maiden voyage with the Owners discovering the Mediterranean’s best yachting locations in the comfort and luxury of their new “home-away-from-home”.
The yacht was designed with intimacy in mind, incorporating many personal details and spaces, as desired by the Owners who are planning on cruising with their family. This is reflected throughout the entire vessel and all the decks.
Aurora features rich mahogany and stainless steel materials providing her with a timeless appeal, reminiscent of transatlantic liners.
“Aurora has her own authentic charm; she is a modern interpretation of an old classic, with a number of innovative features such as a large portlight to the main staircase and custom, state-of-the-art exterior lighting across each deck. Numerous remarkable artworks can be found on the bridge deck, which also features an aft bar for entertaining.” As described by Lurssen shipyard.
The interior is inspired by the 1900s Art Deco era and important artists and designers from the same period. The accommodation includes a beautiful master suite, featuring antique artworks, while each guest cabins was designed with unique characteristics. One of the most significant and imposing areas aboard is the full-width sky lounge.
The owner of the yacht was heavily involved in the design and build process of the superyacht and Moran Yacht & Ship were involved as the owner’s project manager.
