Following the resounding success of the 2015 event, the Superyacht Design Symposium will be once again hosted by the beautiful setting of Kitzbühel in the Tyrolean Alps from February 21 to 23, 2016. The unique and highly innovative format of the event continues to draw an elite audience for two days of stimulating and authoritative debate, complemented by fun-filled social events in and around the popular ski destination of Kitzbühel.
Back and better than ever before, the next year’s event will be chaired by prestigious design critic Stephen Bayley and will host some of the biggest names in the design community – from superyachts to supercars, and beyond.
Early additions to the panel of speakers for 2016 include such acclaimed yacht designers as Espen Øino, Tim Heywood, Terence Disdale and Andrew Winch, as well as superyacht owner Brian O’Sullivan.
The 2016 program consists of five varied and diverse topics, which include:
Is the client always right?
Is beauty a science or an art?
What is the new luxury?
What has a superyacht got in common with a warship and why should we care?
Star Speaker discussion on why architects and designers always love boats
The two-day Superyacht Design Symposium program will be also marked by the return of the highly entertaining Ski Cup presented by Foil, together with a selection of social activities that embrace the fabulous Alpine environment.
