Renowned shipyard Lürssen have proudly announced the successful delivery of their latest masterpiece, superyacht HAVEN – a remarkable display of craftsmanship and innovation. This stunning vessel, previously known as Project CALI, sets a new standard in superyacht design, marking the dawn of a new era in the industry. With exceptional exterior and interior features, HAVEN is a testament to Lürssen’s commitment to delivering custom superyachts that cater to the unique visions of their clients.
The concept and exterior design were meticulously crafted by Jim Robert Sluijter, Lead Exterior Designer at Lürssen. Sluijter’s vision was to create a yacht that exudes elegance and athleticism which he achieved with a sleek, low-profile design, adorned with long, sweeping lines.
Jim Robert Sluijter reflected on the project, “The Owner fell in love with the first outline of the project, and as a result, HAVEN has barely changed from the original sketch. She feels very different from many other yachts; she has a practical and functional design that places great emphasis on outdoor living. Thanks to an interplay of light and glazing, all interior spaces are well connected with the outdoors.”
Complementing the striking exterior, the interior was designed by the British studio RWD. Head of Interiors at RWD, Mattia Mazzucchi revealed their process, “Our team went on a journey with the Owners and their family to create a distinct design vocabulary, with subtly crafted details that create a playful and timeless interior.” He continued, “Through the combination of curated pieces and custom designs, every inch of HAVEN will be beautiful, personal, and functional. Striking artworks draw the eye with their vibrancy around every corner. Bold, confident, fun, and energetic, where the joy of colour takes centre stage.”
Superyacht HAVEN boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 82m (269’) and a beam of 12.5m (41’), firmly placing her among the world’s largest tri-deck superyachts. Built for an Owner with an active lifestyle and a clear vision for their vessel, HAVEN offers generous outdoor spaces, a family-oriented layout, and ample storage for water toys and diving gear. Notable highlights include a spacious 30sqm sun deck with moveable windbreak panels and a 2.5-m ceiling height, as well as a luxurious beach club with single-step sea terraces, seamlessly connecting guests to the sea.
Throughout construction, Lürssen worked closely with Kees de Keizer and his team, who oversaw the build on behalf of the Owner, and RWD. The exceptional partnership between these esteemed professionals and Lürssen’s dedicated employees is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the project. Peter Lürßen, CEO of Lürssen Yachts, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved, highlighting their outstanding communication and dedication to delivering a remarkable superyacht.
She departed on 17th June 2024 to embark on her maiden voyage.
