From 1-2 December at top venue, Altitude 360 in Westminster, a host of delegates in the superyacht sector including marketers, PRs, journalists and CEOs will convene to learn and discuss how to move their marketing plans forward into 2012 and beyond at the Superyacht Marketing Forum 2011 (SMF).
Work is now underway at Superyacht Events to draw up a stimulating and insightful programme of speakers, forums and workshops.
The Superyacht Marketing Forum is renowned in the industry for delivering the tools marketing professionals need to make the most of new and established practices. Whilst marketers are bombarded with revolutionary practices, for example in digital PR and social media, this two-day forum will cater exclusively for those working in the superyacht industry. This makes SMF a must attend event for anyone who wants to keep up with the kids, whilst learning how those new school rules apply to the superyacht sector. More established methods such as how to make the most of media relations, data management and understanding the luxury market are some of the items also expected to feature on the programme now being developed by Superyacht Events.
2011 has seen a host of pioneering, headline grabbing marketing practices and partnerships in the industry. First, luxury giant LVMH showcased its first Princess superyacht, the $11 million 32M motor yacht, alongside its brands Fendi, De Beers and Moet at the London Boat Show in January. Then, in May, Heesen Yachts became the first shipyard to launch an app for iPhones and Watkins took up residency in a Harrods showroom, laying claim to putting the most expensive item up for sale there ever with Fincantieri’s 100 million superyacht, Project Mars. SMF 2011 will be a chance to reflect on these exciting new developments and to think about what opportunities they pose for the year to come.
The forum also features The Yacht Report Group Marketing Awards Gala Dinner. Held from 7pm – 11pm on Thursday 1 December, this is the only industry Christmas party that brings both buyers and suppliers together.
More details on the Superyacht Marketing Forum will be announced in due course
