Motor yacht Project 116 is in final stages of construction at Danish Yachts’ shipyard in Skagen. The 38m jet driven Espen Oeino designed motor yacht Project 116 is aiming to undergo sea trials this summer, 4 months earlier than expected and will be unveiled later this year.
The high speed Superyacht Project 116 has a sleek and sporty design and is set to pioneer a new era in powerboat design. The 38m motor yacht has powerful water jets and a lightweight carbon fibre hull and superstructure, and is expected to attain speeds of up to 48-52 knots with twin diesel engines. She will have a range of approximately 900 NM.
At 38 meters in length, project 116 will have a beam of 7.50m and a 1.35m draft. The luxury motor yacht will feature a spacious interior that the team at Danish_Yachts is currently focusing on completing, using their knowledge to create unique standards of woodwork for which they are renown. The project managers are placing special attention to adopt only those colors, forms and textures that give this exclusive superyacht an impressive, modern look while balancing the limitations of its weight. Project 116 features a high quality Bang & Olufsen entertainment system, with a central server and a variety of tenders, including the Akoya Light Carbon Fibre Aircraft from Lisa Airplanes.
The Espen Oeino designed Project 116 team behind this project have completed the infra red controlled passarelle after positioning it in the starboard side of the vessel. The shipyard has also finished the electronic cabling for the main bridge console and are currently waiting for the final setting of the final panel layouts.
The Espen Oeino designed Project 116 will undergo around 4 weeks of sea trials to test all systems and will be officially launched later this year.
