The 51st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, the largest in-water boat show in the world, that takes place from October 28 through November 1, 2010, already have a number of superyachts that have confirmed their spot.
At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, there will be approximately $3 billion worth of sailing boats, motor yachts, super yachts, megayachts, electronics, engines and thousands of boating accessories from every major marine manufacturer and boat builder from around the world. Reservations have already been confirmed for a few very special superyachts.

Megayacht CAKEWALK by Dekecktor
The Tim Heywood designed superyacht Cakewalk at 85.6 meters (281 ft) that was launched by Derecktor Shipyards in the USA earlier this month – making her the largest private yacht launched to date in America. Motor Yacht Cakewalk is an important luxury yacht launch in many ways being a milestone achievement for Derecktor and their new flagship M/Y Cakewalk is sure to draw much yachting news attention at this year’s show. “Fittingly, this is Americas leading yacht show and she will be its leading lady” quipped Kathy Kennedy, Derecktor’s marketing director.
Motor yacht Northern Star, by Lürssen
Another superyacht in attendance is the 247’ motor yacht Northern Star, built by Lürssen of Germany. NORTHERN STAR was theWinner of BEST DISPLACEMENT MOTOR YACHT at the World Superyacht Awards 2010. This Lurssen motor yacht was built in 2009 and was designed to handle worldwide cruises in all climates with only limited port stops boasting an exceptional range of 8,500 nautical miles, coupled with very generous storage of all consumables.
Northern Star has six decks and exceptionally spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins and a crew of 22 first class professionals.
Her interior features a Pauline Nunns grand country house-like interior, with colossal outdoor spaces across her six decks. Northern Star offers plenty of space to enjoy al fresco dining and allows for comfortable lounging for the guest.

Sailing Yacht Felicita West, by Perini Navi
The Perini Navi 201’ Felicita West is one of the largest and fastest aluminum sailing yacht in the world and will also be in attendance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®. Luxury yacht Felicita West was built in 2003 by Perini Navi with naval architect Ron Holland, and Nuvolari Lenard interior designers.
Sailing Yacht Felicita West offers a superb sailing experience and the highest levels of luxury and comfort. At 64m or 209’11” in length she is capable of high hull speeds under sail. Also her generously wide beam of 12.7m or 41’72” means she provides very spacious internal volume, sweeping decks (and side decks) and a very stable cruising motion.
Felicita West’s fly bridge is also very large and a full 12 charter guests can sit, relax, eat, enjoy the view and be entertained in either sun or shade. This deck includes a second alfresco dining area and bar. Guests tend to enjoy most alfresco meals in the fantastic dining area in the shaded sunken aft cockpit where the professional crew transforms the scene from informal breakfast through buffet lunch to a sumptuous dinner.
A large swimming platform can fold down from her aft deck giving great water access or a landing for the yacht’s jet tenders or small sail boats.

Superyacht Bacarella, by Trinity Yachts
Megayacht Bacarella is a 60 metre (196 ft) steel vessel, built by Trinity Yachts that was delivered to her Owner in 2010. Her splendid interior design was by Bannenberg Designs LTD in collaboration with her Owner and was fabricated by Metrica of Germany.
An extra large master suite is one of the main features requested by motor yacht Bacarella’s Owner, who surely desires to enjoy every moment onboard, as well as offer the same pleasure to the potential charter guests. In addition, she offers a large, full beam VIP suite, as well as further four double guest cabins , resulting in six double cabins for a total of 12 guests. Motor yacht Bacarella has a long main saloon, followed by a elegant, warm and contemporary formal dining area.
