Beekmans RVS provides most top builders with the world’s finest stainless steel installations as well as specialized glass features. At least fifteen of the luxury superyachts to be showcased at the next Monaco Yacht Show feature Beekmans masterwork, ranging from superlative windshields to the most exquisite oval tube railings.
Here are some of the highlights to look out for.
As you walk around the Monaco yacht show this year, make sure you cast your eyes above the superstructure of the yachts on display and check out some of the phenomenal work in stainless steel by the specialists from Beekmans RVS in the Netherlands.
“Events like this are an excellent showcase of our work,” says Mike Gilsing, sales manager at Beekmans. “Throughout the year our engineers are busy with an impressive range of complex projects for yards such as Feadship, Oceanco, Lürssen, Delta, Perini Navi, Heesen, Abeking & Rasmussen and Amels. Of the superyachts on the quay In Monaco we have supplied our products to at least fifteen, ranging from 50 to 92 metres in length. This includes eleven windshields with glass, over 1100 metres of oval tube railings, four complete stainless steel outfittings, bollards, windbreakers, retractable awnings, foldable helideck rails and fairleads.”
Premium quality
Some projects contain confidentiality agreements which mean suppliers such as Beekmans are not allowed to discuss their role. One of the projects that can be admired is the new Perini Navi motor yacht Grace E, which is sure to make a splash in Monaco. This 73-metre masterpiece showcases the entire range of Beekmans’ stainless steel expertise across her five decks, including premium quality oval tube railing with glass.
“We provided all the stainless steel outfitting for Grace E and invested an enormous amount of hours in meeting the exacting brief. Everything was implemented very smoothly, on-time, on-budget and signed off by the owners team without hesitation. This project emphasises the synergies of our five decades of experience of serving yards and owners who expect and accept nothing but the best.”
Turnkey references
Beekmans has an unrivalled reference book of successfully completed projects and yet often the results of its turnkey work can be difficult to spot. A fine example at Monaco will be the windshields on the new 60-metre Amels motor yacht Event.
“This Amels 199 features entirely custom made windshields with stunning stainless steel stanchions and bent glass,” explains Gilsing. “Our team designed, manufactured and installed these superior pieces, and everything fits perfectly. Ironically, perhaps, people don’t even notice the windshields on the top of a superyacht if they are done well. After months of painstaking craft on Event, we reached the quality level that makes her windshields virtually invisible except to those looking specifically for them.”
