At first glance, the superyacht looks pretty amazing, winning our hearts with her outstanding appearance. Milan-based design studio Hot Lab was responsible for her exterior, layout and interior. Previously, Hot Lab worked on some renowned superyachts with Mondomarine, such as Mondomarine M43, M50 and M60. The trio of the talented designers at Hot Lab has an extensive knowledge of industrial, automotive and interior design. Outstanding projects delivered by Hot Lab are characterised as elegant, subtle and warm, while maintaining highest quality and precision. Ipanema is surely another great representation of the design studio’s true values and hard work.

Measuring 49.20m with an overall beam of 9m, the superyacht Ipanema possess a light alloy hull and superstructure, three decks and a voluminous sun deck. The steep rake of her stern creates a visual effect of a forward thrust for the superstructure and provides open and filled spaced lit with natural light.

Ipanema can accommodate up to 12 guests over two VIP and two twin guest cabins and one owner’s suite.

Traditional styling, classical design and the magnificent colour combination were developed by the books to meet the owner’s requirements on the interior. The result is impressive. The style includes a number of various elements, such as columns, pilasters and carved lintels, friezes and bas-reliefs, from the Italian, English and French manufacturing tradition.

There are more than a dozen of different types of marble on board, as well as precious onyx, mahogany, briar and a large quantity of luxury fabrics. Full hight windows on the main deck create a light-filled and inviting atmosphere on board.

The access stairway is concealed by the fold-down beach area, which is in fact, very large for a vessel of this weight. The two large sunpads are separated by the central walkway, leading to the aft cockpit with a spacious sun area and lounge. The starboard garage stores Ipanema’s matching red colour tender.

Structural, hydrodynamic and technical design of the superyacht was handled by Mondomarine Engineering. With a total gross tonnage of under 500 GT, Ipanema has a cruising speed of 17 knots with a range of 3,500 nm.
