Tankoa Yachts has announced the launch of 72m/236ft HULL S701, known as motor yacht SOLO, at its shipyard in Genoa on the 1st of August at 11 am local time.
Described by the shipyard as The Dream Mansion, M/Y SOLO sports a chestnut coloured hull and pure white superstructure with extensive use of full-height glazing for a seamless appearance between the decks. Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini styled her exteriors and interiors respectively, opting for a sophisticated and contemporary update on classic design.
The 11.3m/30ft beam creates extensive deck areas for indoor and outdoor living, and the latter category offers a bridge deck Jacuzzi, sunpads and a Touch-n-go helipad that also serves as a dance floor.
The interiors host a massage room, sauna and hammam that have private sea terraces and refreshments are never far away: A bar is placed within the beach club and all three lounges are serviced by an aft deck bar.
The accommodation provides for up to 12 guests across six suites, including a Master stateroom on the upper deck, a VIP stateroom and two double cabins and twin cabins. The crew of 18 are accommodated on the lower deck in 10 cabins, while the Captain’s cabin is located on the bridge deck.
In terms of technical achievements, luxury yacht SOLO uses two Cat 3516 B DITA-SCAC HD engines that produce 2,480 HP each to achieve a top speed of 17.5 knots and an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles when at 12.5 knots.
Superyacht SOLO will now undergo sea trials before being delivered to her new Owner later this year. She will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show running 26th-29th September.
