Taylor Made Systems, a member of the Taylor Made Group, will present a new integrated tower/windshield assembly for builders of center-console boats at IBEX 2011, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
“This new integrated assembly gives OEMs a ‘one-stop shop’ for their tower and windshield applications,” said Mike Oathout, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Made Systems. “The integrated unit will save time and costs in installation on the production line, eliminate problems that can occur when matching glass windshields and tower structures from different vendors, and provide a smoother seamless finished look for the boat buyer.”
The tower supports are uniquely designed by Taylor Made Systems to support most hardtop systems and will tie in with fiberglass consoles. The supports are also designed with patented canvas tracks to isolate the canvas fasteners and avoid corrosion. They are powder-coated and can be ordered in any standard or special color. The windshield is designed with tempered, safety glass and can be shaped for individual styling. The tower can be paired with either Taylor’s framed or direct-bonded glass systems.
Other new marine glazing products to be shown by the company at IBEX include the new Edge System sport windshield design for the towboat and sport boat markets allowing for enhanced styling; and a frameless-sliding window cutout that presents a seamless flush appearance when closed.
“These new products, which we are displaying at IBEX this year, are a reflection of our ongoing commitment to a program of continuous innovation to help our boatbuilder customers reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction during these difficult economic market conditions,” said Al Petit, president of Taylor Made Systems.
