In Turkey, Bilgin yachts have announced the technical launch of the first 52m Bilgin 170 series, which has now moved to West Istanbul Marina for the next stage in her build. The Bilgin 170 is a collaboration between Turkish designers Unique Yacht Design and the interior design team at Italy’s Hot Lab.
Ìsmail Şengűn, CEO at Bilgin Yachts was at the launch and enthusiastically commented: “The technical launch of the first unit of the 52m series Bilgin 170 marks a significant achievement for our team. Exterior designer Emrecan Özgün has used the Bilgin 163 as inspiration to create a larger and more traditional bow shape to enhance the deck spaces. According to Özgün, “The primary goal during the design process was to optimize the 50-meter models, achieving a sportier and more masculine look while blending the design seamlessly to offer customers the ability to utilize both open and enclosed spaces under 500 gross tons. This focus on functionality and aesthetics has resulted in a yacht that truly stands out from the crowd.”
The outfitting stage will bring to life the 12-guest accommodation with private owner’s suite, sun deck with jacuzzi, dining and bar plus spacious 499GT interior. the Bilgin 170 series promises a captivating blend of style, functionality, and craftsmanship. From its elegant exterior lines to its interior spaces, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted with a focus on luxury, comfort, and elegance.
Power comes from twin CAT C32 engines which deliver a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots.
The yacht is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2024, with the second unit also under construction ready for the pre-season of 2025. Bilgin Yachts is a boutique shipyard in Istanbul, building bespoke 50 to 120-meter luxury superyachts, many of which are available for charter.
