Telemar Yachting the Viareggio-based Integrated Marine Electronics Specialists providing Navigation, Communication, Audio/Video Entertainment systems, Computer Integration, Security Systems and Airtime to the world’s superyacht industry and a division of CG Telemar SPA announces completion of the “Americanisation” of the 127 foot, Chinese built, Italian designed yacht, motor yacht PRIMA DONNA, the first large Chinese yacht to be delivered to the USA by IAG Yachts.

“This clearly demonstrates Telemar Yachting’s global capabilities and the substantial cost savings to the builder by being able to use our local Chinese office,” said Telemar Yachting Americas’ Manager, Mark Theissen, “Not only was Telemar directly involved from the start in the initial build in China and then through her sea-trials, but now we complete the global seamless service by customising her for the unique electronics requirements of her new base in the USA.”
In 2008 Telemar Yachting was contracted for all of the yacht’s electronics by Chinese builder IAG Yachts, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China, part of the International Audio Group, one of the world’s fastest growing manufacturers of consumer and professional audio, lighting and video products.
“No one else but Telemar Yachting could have pulled this off, I tip my hat to Andy Gifford and Mark Theissen,” said Captain Doug Hoogs of IAG Yachts (Americas), “I know of no one else, and certainly not in South Florida, who has that same comprehensive capability of having all the skills that really are in house without having to call in so-called ‘partners’.”
Telemar Yachting has autonomous offices in Viareggio, Shanghai and Fort Lauderdale, working directly with the 20 offices of its parent CG Telemar and its worldwide operating network.
