International tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has commissioned an 80 SUNREEF POWER motor catamaran from Sunreef Yachts.
The soon-to-be Owner has chartered catamarans from the shipyard in the past and has selected the latest motor yacht model for the broad beam and stability that it provides.
Constructed from carbon composite, concept images for the hull show a gloss finish on a steel grey hull and a silvery superstructure. The high-quality furnishings are designed to be multi-functional and adapt to guest usage, one example being a sofa/sunbed on the main deck aft that can move from an aft-facing position to a forward-facing one.
A jet ski is cleverly concealed within the fold-down storage between the two hulls, and up, on the sundeck, a waterfall near the stern feeds a large circular Jacuzzi that is surrounded by a bar with beautiful back-lighting. The sunroof opens up so that diners and loungers on the corner sofas can enjoy the sunshine or views of the starry night skies. Sunbathing spots are also in abundance, with broad and deep sunbeds covering the stern and the foredeck area in front of the helm station.
The high-quality interiors make use of extensive glazing for 360-degree views and plenty of natural lighting. An elegant seating area is placed to port with the formal dining area to starboard and the helm controls forward. The centre of the ceiling mimics the stars in the sky and the various lighting throughout the room can be reduced to create the perfect ambience.
Sunreef Yachts has created multiple layouts for the 80 SUNREEF POWER, placing the galley or Master suite alternatively in the port-side hull or on the main deck. One of the layouts also allows for a forward and aft lounge for guests who want to spend time on separate hobbies.
The fully customised 80 SUNREEF POWER luxury catamaran for Rafael Nadal will be ready for delivery in 2020 and will ensure that he and his guests have the latest comforts right at their fingertips while cruising in the Balearic Islands and beyond.
The first 80 Sunreef Power catamaran will debut in September 2019 at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
