The well known Dutch shipyard, MOONEN, has had three superyacht orders since the launch of its highly successful Caribbean Series last year. These include the 30m motor yacht Matica destined for the yard’s new UK-based owner, as well as two orders secured for the 37m Martinique models. Two of these are currently under construction: Martinique motor yacht Hull #1 and the first superyacht Matica.
As the only premium Dutch manufacturer building semi-custom superyachts between 30 and 50 metres, the new Caribbean series from Moonen has received great reviews. All Moonen Caribbeans offer a refreshingly modern twist on the classic Moonen style, with a distinctive and timeless look that will ensure a high resale value.
Based on the well-proven hull of the Moonen 97 yacht, the hull of the 30m superyacht Matica is currently taking shape, ready to be joined to the superstructure in the summer. Superbly penned by Rene van der Velden, with interior design by Adam Lay, the first Moonen Matica is scheduled for completion in May 2016.
Beautifully designed by Rene van der Velden, with interior design by Nauta, the new semi-custom luxury yacht Martinique is expected to be available by the summer of 2016. While the initial stages of the groundbreaking high-tensile steel hull are completed, the designers and engineers continue to make smart adaptations that enhance this innovative and charter-friendly vessel.
