As decided by the company’s Supervisory Board at its meeting yesterday evening unanimously and effective 1st July 2012, Dr. Michael Haidinger (51) is to become the new member of the Executive Board of Tognum AG, working as a Chief Sales Officer. He succeeds Peter Kneipp (52), who left the Executive Board at the end of February 2012 by mutual agreement to follow a new professional challenge.

Dr. Haidinger is currently President of Rolls-Royce Deutschland and a member of the Supervisory Board of Tognum AG. He will step down from both positions at the latest when he is appointed as the new Chief Sales Officer of Tognum AG. With his appointment to the Tognum Executive Board, Dr. Michael Haidinger will assume responsibility for the Engines and Onsite Energy business units in addition to the global distribution and service business, duties currently being performed on an interim basis by Joachim Coers, the Chairman of the Tognum Executive Board.

Born in Austria, Dr. Michael Haidinger has worked in various international companies in the aerospace industry since 1989, such as DASA, Fairchild/Dornier, Airbus, Eurocopter and, since 2006, Rolls-Royce. In the course of his career, he has been responsible for a variety of areas, including sales, contract management, after sales, service and distribution. At Rolls-Royce, Michael Haidinger is primarily responsible for directing the company’s global activities with business jet engines and is dealing with a large portfolio of customers. In this field and in previous positions he has held, he has acquired extensive experience with civil aerospace customers and in both national and international governmental business. During the time he has spent at Rolls-Royce, revenues in his area of responsibility have more than doubled. Dr. Michael Haidinger is married and has two children.
