Strengthening UK’s global reputation for Design innovation, London-based design firm Andrew Winch Designs was proud to receive three awards for its latest motoryacht deliveries at the last month’s ShowBoats Design Awards. AWD has been honoured with the coveted Neptune Awards for the Exterior Design of the 99m mega yacht Madame Gu as well as for the tenders for Madame Gu and the 62m superyacht Sea Owl.

On the 24th February 2014, at the exclusive Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Austria the ShowBoats Design Award took place. Celebrating excellence in yacht design and honouring the industry’s creative talents, the annual event attracted an international audience of superyacht owners as well as the leading lights of the international yacht design industry.
The ShowBoats Design Award focuses on the fundamental design aspects of superyacht design such as exterior design styling and interior layout. Judged by a respected panel of yacht owners and independent experts, the winning superyachts are selected following a meticulous study of their design.
99m Feadship motor yacht Madame Gu (Project DREAM)
In the fiercely contested Exterior Design category, Olympic champion Shirley Robertson O.B.E. who hosted the event, pointed out that all but two members of the elite judging panel awarded had awarded the 99m motor yacht Madame Gu full marks!

Whether we are designing a large superyacht or a compact tender vessel, our design team approaches each project with the same dedication, attention to detail and commitment.
