Emphasizing the influence and importance of the International Superyacht Coatings Conference (ISCC) to the global superyacht sector, the organizers of the two-day event have unveiled three more leading sponsors: Jotun, Tribos Coatings and Tufcoat Ltd., joining the earlier announced CAP Industrial B.V. as companies pleased to add their name to the impressive conference program. The fact that ISCC is sponsored by industry heavyweights from Norway, Malta, the UK and The Netherlands strengthens the multinational nature of the event, which will run in the Amsterdam RAI Congress Centre from 11 to 12 December 2014.
Specialising in superyacht coating processes and related rules and legislation, ISCC is more than a conference and networking event. This interactive conference encourages delegates to shape and influence future decisions on the issues facing the coatings industry today. In addition, some 24 top industry professionals will share experiences and inspire the participants from around the world at this prominent B2B event organised by Amsterdam RAI with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss).
Its high-profile status makes ISCC 2014 an attractive option for sponsors. The organisers made four places available for one gold sponsor and three silver sponsors. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of marine, yachting, protective and decorative paints and powder coatings, the Jotun group was a natural candidate to take the gold sponsor role. With 70 companies and 36 production facilities across all continents, plus subsidiaries, joint ventures, agents, branch offices and distributors in ninety countries, Jotun has its head office in Sandefjord, Norway. Its antifoulings, primers, fillers and topcoats have been proven in practice on all the world’s oceans, backed up by Jotun’s superior technical service.
Silver sponsor Tribos Coatings is based in Malta and the UK. Its scientifically researched and proven marine surface coatings offer total protection for the entire yacht in the most aggressive environments. Tribos® Marine Paint Protection delivers a ‘better-than-new’ reflective shine that provides total protection against UV, acid rain, oil, exhaust fumes, fuel spills, salt and other contaminants.
The second newly announced silver sponsor is Tufcoat Ltd. from Plymouth, UK. The company provides complete environmental containment around yacht maintenance projects, and supplies shrink wrapping films and equipment to boat builders, shipyards and dealers throughout Europe. Tufcoat has recently expanded its distribution network to include warehousing 36 tonnes of stock in Palma which specifically caters for clients in the Mediterranean region. “We are proud to be associated with the ISCC as a silver sponsor,” comments Tufcoat managing director Ewan Lake. “This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the superyacht industry’s key stakeholders.” The third silver sponsor, Coating Applications Product (CAP) Industrial in the Netherlands, is a renowned supplier of low pressure paint spray equipment.
“We are delighted to partner with these four innovative companies in making the International Superyacht Coatings Conference an essential event for all professionals involved in coatings,” comments Eline Delfos, Conference Coordinator at Amsterdam RAI. “The issue of coatings is one of the greatest challenges facing the superyacht industry today and ISCC 2014 will provide an unrivalled opportunity to share knowledge and expertise. The last few places are still available for delegates to join us in Amsterdam and we would encourage latecomers to register now.”
