The 2011 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which in in its 52nd year will take place from October 27-31, 2011 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the “Yachting Capital of the World”. A wide variety of boats and vessels will be on display including an extraordinary range of motor yachts, sailing yachts and mega yachts. There will be approximately 200 superyachts on display this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show which covers six locations and over 3 million square feet of space.

Charter yacht Northern Star – Lurssen (2009) Length: 248′
Motor yacht Northern Star is one of the largest yachts on the charter market measuring 75.40m (247.37′). This Lurssen motor yacht was built in 2009 and was designed by Espen Oeino to handle worldwide cruises in all climates with limited port stops. Northern Star motor yacht can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in six luxurious cabins with a crew of 22 trained professionals. Her interior, designed by Pauline Nunns boasts a grand country house-like feeling. Measuring 73,20m (240′ 1″), at the time of her launching in 2006, M/Y LAUREL was the largest yacht ever to be produced by Delta Shipyards and was also the largest yacht constructed in America since 1921. She was the first large yacht built in the world to have an entirely composite superstructure from the main deck up providing significant weight savings.

The Art Deco inspired superyacht Kismet was built to an extremely high standard and is a well know charter yacht with a great reputation, available in both the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Motor yacht Kismet was designed for a passionate art-collector. Among the artistic highlights onboard is a main-deck lobby where black granite floors, a mirrored ceiling and central glass elevator create an impressive masterpiece. The 67.06m (220′) Allure Shadow motor yacht is a luxury superyacht support vessel by Shadow Marine and is the only yacht of her kind exhibiting at this year’s Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.

Yacht Felicita West measures an impressive 64m or 209’11” and offers a superb sailing, capable of high hull speeds under sail while offering the highest levels of luxury and comfort. Her generously wide beam of 12.7m or 41’72” means she provides very spacious internal volume, sweeping decks (and side decks) and a very stable cruising motion.
S/Y Felicita West’s fly bridge is also very large and a full 12 charter guests can sit, relax, eat, enjoy the view and be entertained in either sun or shade. M/Y Harbour Island – Newcastle Motor Yacht (2011) Length: 180′
Luxury motor yacht Harbour Island’, measures 54.87m (180′) in length and launched in 2010, built by Newcastle Shipyard. This Newcastle 5500 yacht features interior design created by Claudette Bonville, with naval architecture is by Murray & Associates. The ‘Harbour Island’ superyacht is a large full displacement steel luxury yacht which is one the 10 largest private yachts built in the United States of America over the past 50 years.
One of the very unique features onboard motor yacht Harbour Island is her generous infinity pool which is positioned on the split level sundeck facing aft towards the water. She also boasts a raised “veranda” on her main aft deck and on her sky lounge aft deck is an expansive built in custom seating aft of the alfresco dining area.
