Based in France, Compositeworks in La Ciotat is pleased to announce that the Trend Marine’s world class service supplying balustrade as well as swimming pool glass will be utilized for the refit of a 204-foot Feadship superyacht in a very short time frame.
Deadlines were very tight, and the team at Compositeworks, led by Rob Papworth & Adrian Byrnes, required a fast, accurate and high quality supply of glass for their demanding refit project. Trend Marine Products, based in Norfolk UK, won the contract to supply and install the glass on a 204-foot Feadship motoryacht built in 2000 by Royal Van Lent.
Trend Marine carried out a detailed site survey and designed the glass to meet the owner’s exacting standards and to comply with class approvals. Produced at Trend’s factory in Norfolk, the laminated chemically toughened glass was fitted by Trend’s own installation team at the yard in La Ciotat.
Throughout the project, Trend Marine worked closely with Compositeworks and have been praised by Adrian Byrnes, who said, “The guys at Trend Marine met and exceeded every expectation of this contract both in terms of timescale and quality, and we were very happy to work with them. We look forward to discussing further projects with Trend; they are a serious quality supplier.”
Both Trend Marine and Compositeworks are exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2012.
