Gulfport, Mississippi: Trinity Yachts, LLC is pleased to announce that in both June 2011 and May 2011, Vice President, William (“Billy”) S. Smith will, and has, offered his insight and deep understanding of issues affecting the large yacht industry.
On 20 June 2011, Billy will be the first featured speaker at the prestigious 6th Annual The Future of Superyachts Conference in Mallorca, Spain. Recently, on 1 June 2011, he spoke to an enthusiastic audience at the Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY) monthly membership meeting. Key points included steps to build superlative superyachts; industry trends in both the U.S. and overseas markets; his opinion of the future of the industry; the recession’s impact on private yacht building; Hurricane Katrina and its effect on Louisiana and Mississippi and Trinity’s response; and, the development and legacy of Trinity Yachts.
“YPY hosts industry leaders as speakers at our meetings to offer our members first-hand knowledge directly from the source,” said D.J. Kiernan, YPY President “Mr. Smith was a model guest for our organization sharing with our membership his perspective on industry trends, the future of yacht building and ethical business practices.”
Now in its 6th year, The Future of Superyachts, is an important annual event which brings together many of the large yacht industry’s top brass. Taking place just prior to the Superyacht Cup, Billy Smith is tasked with digging deeply into the subject, “How Can Yards Weather the Economic Storm?” He’ll discuss the importance of retaining a skilled workforce and the vital role of diversification which builders must, respectively, maintain and adopt as key strategies for growth and profitability in a wavering economic climate.
Long an active member of the large yacht industry, Trinity Yachts is unwaveringly supportive in having its senior management available to discuss the most pressing issues of the day.
