The 45m super motor yacht “Karia” and Oyster 100 sailing yacht “Sarafin”, built at RMK Marine, have both been honoured with the Judges Special Commendation prize at the World Superyacht Awards in 2012. Designed by Naval Architects, Vripack Yachting International b.v. this elegantly styled trawler yacht is intended for long distance cruising with all of the comforts of fine living for the discerning owner.
CONCEPTS PORTFOLIO
RMK Marine has a wide experience in constructing explorer motor yachts such as Vripack designed Caressa K, charter yacht Jasmin and charter yacht Private Lives as well as Cornelia yacht and the last but not least, the 45 meter Ron Holland designed superyacht Karia. The company, as gained by the past experience, developed a new type of modern looking lines with the support of famous designers. Their world cruiser and rugged explorer lines overcome the seven seas of the world easily.
EXPLORER CONCEPT PORTFOLIO
RMK Marine developed RMK 3400, RMK 3700, RMK 4200, and RMK 5500 yachts. All of these lines represent the uncompromising quality and exceptional value of RMK Marine. They all have steel hull and aluminium construction with ranges allowing trans-atlantic passages, and they are all designed by world-renowned and famous design and naval architecture house, Vripack.
2013-14 LUXURY EXPLORERS
Joint colloboration between RMK Marine and Hotlab Yacht Design has resulted with the clean lines of RMK 5000 True Luxury Explorer yacht. RMK 5000 is capable of going anywhere in the world even the arctics with her optional ice-capable hull and voyaging into uninhabited areas of the south pole. Designed with modern lines and soft curves there is smooth uncluttered look and feel to the design. The full displacement hulls on both RMK 5000 True Luxury Explorer and Sport Utility provide long range cruising with thanks to the optional diesel/electric propulsion package under 500 GT thresholds. Both projects accommodate up to 10 guests and 8 crew plus the Captain. On the True Luxury Explorer concept, there is a vast aft deck specifically designed to accommodate a tender of up to 10.2m. When equipping the aft deck with the custom tender, the area beneath is dedicated to underwater and on-water excursion toys including submarine, diving room, hov pods and jet-skis.
FAST DISPLACEMENT
This new superyacht concept is distinct from the full displacement yachts and neither overlaps or replaces them but offers a different solution. The ability to run at higher transit speeds does take more power but this range is unique in avoiding the normal compromise of inefficiency at displacement speeds normally associated with this type of yacht. The sea keeping and efficiency of the displacement hull are available in the same design as one with fast transit speed. They come in 2 different length, 48 meter and 5000 meters , RMK 4800 and RMK 5000. They can reach up to 30 knots maximum in their fast transit voyages. They all are under 500 gross tonnage and fully complied with new LY3 regulations.
