May was a busy month at Turquoise Yachts as they announced milestones for two of their in-build 75m plus superyachts – 79m (259’1”) luxury yacht PROJECT TORO and 76m (249’3”) motor yacht PROJECT ARROW.
The long-awaited launch superyacht PROJECT TORO took place at the end of May, representing the culmination of years of hard work from the team whose tireless efforts, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment are clear to see across this beautiful motor yacht.
She is the largest yacht to be launched by Turquoise to date and features interior and exterior design from Harrison Eidsgaard. Ben Harrison from the design team had this to say, “We are delighted that our first collaboration with Turquoise Yachts is the full custom 79m Project TORO. She features a neo-classical exterior with hints of a funnel rising from main deck to sun deck. The interior is the definition of serenity and calm, featuring a huge Neptune lounge, and many other stunning features.”
Meanwhile, superyacht PROJECT ARROW was successfully transferred from the Kocaeli facility to the Turquoise Yachts Pendik shipyard.
The yacht is the shipyard’s first hybrid yacht and will now undergo interior installation and fit out which features exterior design by Enrico Gobbi and interiors from H2 Yacht Design. Her innovative hybrid drive propulsion comes via permanent magnet electric motors which are supported by MTU 12V 4000 M65L diesel engines which deliver a speed of 10 knots in battery mode and can maintain silent mode for extended periods.
Other 75m plus superyachts currently in build at Turquoise includes 80m motor yacht BRAVO and 87m motor yacht VENTO.
