The 2012 Monaco Yacht Show will feature a new and sumptuous 650 m2 living space ‘Upper Deck Lounge’, reserved to the show’s social and business elite.
A rendezvous with your peers or with a future customer may be key to your business success at the Monaco Yacht Show, but sometimes everything hangs on a last minute hitch: a late taxi, a rendezvous somewhere in Monaco too far from the meeting you’re in, a conversation that never ends. The ultimate challenge for the show’s participants might be simply to arrive on time at rendezvous in hotels and restaurants dotted around town, at the stands or between two quays on Port Hercules.
This year the yacht show organisers present a completely new 650mÇ reception complex in the heart of the yacht show area, where you can hold all your meetings or invite your best customer to dine in the official restaurant, in a luxurious setting set aside for yacht show partners.
The Upper Deck Lounge in the air-conditioned tent of the Parvis Piscine (where the old restaurant-lounge area used to be) has been designed by interior decorators Sabrina Monte-Carlo in collaboration with Italian designer Paola Lenti, the French crystal manufacturer Baccarat and the art gallery Opera Gallery.
It includes several reception areas reserved exclusively for executives of exhibiting companies, where they can talk with their customers in a comfortable, confidential setting.
The Upper Deck Lounge also offers a top-flight menu in the elegant, sophisticated setting of its restaurant, where exhibitors and their guests can talk business over a meal or simply relish the moment.
Paola Lenti’s contemporary design creates an intimate living space where you can sink into big, gaily coloured sofas to enjoy a relaxed wine or champagne tasting.
THE UPPER DECK LOUNGE
CREATION BY…
This outstanding lounge is the result of a close collaboration between four luxury brands – Baccarat, Opera Gallery, Sabrina Monte-Carlo and Paola Lenti, all leaders in each of their sectors – to offer a unique living area to the visitors of the Monaco Yacht Show.
For over two centuries, Baccarat has been shaping crystal into “dream-like” crystal projects. The crystal, born of sand and fire, is crafted by Baccarat glassworkers and cutters who are the only ones to master the secret of that technique.
The name of Baccarat has become the ultimate reference in luxury crystal items, symbolising perfection, magic and dream.
For many years, Baccarat has been excelling in the yachting universe with many prestigious achievements and undisputed recognition in this industry. Special and customised pieces are keys when it comes to the design and the complete range of accessories for a yacht.
Since 2008, Opera Gallery Monaco offers a unique concept, in which are present the biggest names in modern art (Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger) and world-renowned contemporary artists (Jean – Michel Basquiat, Sam Francis, Lucio Fontana).
Opera Gallery Monaco is part of Opera Gallery Group, comprised of 12 galleries in the world. This is one of the few international networks of galleries present on several continents: North America (New York and Miami), Europe (Paris, Monaco, London and Geneva), Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong and Seoul) and United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
Sabrina Monte-Carlo is the official distributor of Paola Lenti in the Principality for many years with successful showrooms in Monte-Carlo and St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Specialised in outdoor furniture, particularly dedicated to the marine and yachting industries, the Monaco-based company exhibits exclusive refined fabrics and tableware in its three showrooms for its international clientele.
The collections by Paola Lenti are recognised for being made of high-tech materials and fabrics, which are enduring and easy to maintain. The pieces are exclusive as they are produced in an infinite range of colour combinations, chosen by the client.
Paola Lenti brand is today distributed in over 60 countries worldwide and is one of the most important references of the Made in Italy in the indoor and outdoor furniture sector.
