The fifth Benetti Crystal 140 M/Y MR D (BY005) is set to make her US premiere at the upcoming Yachts Miami Beach show. Born from the hands of Stefano Righini for the exterior layout and Ezequiel Farcafor the interior and decoration design, this luxury 42-metre superyacht can be characterized by light, transparency, as well as enhancement of spaces.
The interiors feature a redistribution of spaces that exploits the entire volume of hull, along with special attention to light, thanks to new windows. The lower deck hosts four lovely guest cabins, two double and two twin, plus generous crew area. The main deck is fitted with a large living area with a central sofa, comfortable armchairs and a bar area. Moreover, there is a lavish owner’s cabin, providing fantastic views of the sea, thanks to full-height windows.
Spanning over four amazing decks, MR D offers large areas for socializing that are protected with maximum privacy. One of the many innovative features aboard represents the stern area that is marked by a distinctive reorganisation: the customary garage for tender, jet skis, and other equipment has been moved forward toward the bow with an opening on the side, allowing the entire stern area to be dedicated to a beach area that is free of all mechanical equipment and is outfitted with a shower, bathroom, fridge, galley, and armchairs.
Run by twin Cat C32 Acer delivering 1081 kW, luxury yacht MR D has a conventional oceanic range of 4,000 miles. She is capable of travelling around the world and exploring locales where autonomy and spending long periods without refuelling becomes essential. Maximum speed at half load is 15 knots, with 14 knots possible at 85% power.
Furthermore, the design of the wheelhouse is based on innovative integrated architecture that, thanks to LCD monitors with latest generation of touch-screen functionality and ergonomic controllers, has made it possible to reinstate all functions in a single control panel, resulting in an efficient console with an avant-garde look and functionality.
