An online app assisting yacht crew and recruiters make successful work placements has gone love today! Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, USP Profile provides your traditional CV with a dynamic new twist and optimises crew recruitment. The new application provides crew with the platform to tell recruiters not only about their work history, but also about their personality and potential.
“Having the xfactor just does not stand out on paper,“ explains Jens, who has received positive feedback on the project. Captain of 45m Sailing Yacht Artemis, Lars Klische comments; “This makes hiring crew so much easier. It’s about time something like this has come along!”
USP Profile is a mobile and desktop application and includes a video introduction, written introduction, photos, role aspirations, professional history, education, skill ratings, personality presentation and references. Once complete, it can be shared directly via URL, or downloaded as an interactive PDF.
Founder of the project, and owner of Palma based recruitment agency Invisible Crew, Jens Oomes believes it’s time to upgrade the recruitment process by utilising digital technology; “We live in an age where information has to be relayed quickly and effectively. Based on our experience of successfully placing Crew we created the USP Profile app, which is easy to complete by Crew and easy to compare by recruiters.”
