A busy time ahead is expected for Van Der Valk Continental Yachts as they sign two new yacht orders – a 26m Raised Pilothouse and an 18m Flybridge. Both projects are scheduled for delivery in late spring 2017.
The first new order, Raised Pilothouse, will feature a contemporary and classic design. Guido de Groot Desing together with the owner designed the layout, which will comprise of raised wheelhouse, roomy forward main deck area, full-beam owner’s cabilnand 2 VIP guest cabins. The lounge will be spacious with a lot of natural light, and linked to the outdoor area though the sliding doors. Another great feature is stainless steel stairs that will unite a pilothouse and main deck. Interior design will be completed in light colours with whitewashed English oak. Exterior will feature a sunbathing area on the flybridge deck, with some seating and wet bar. There will also be enough space to store a 4.2m tender and wave runner. Powered by twin MTU engines the vessel will be able to reach a top speed of 25 kn, while a Seakeeper 26 gyroscopic stabilising system will provide maximum comfort.
The second order is an 18m luxury motor yacht. The main deck will include living space, such as the saloon, the dining room and open aft area with a table for 8 people. Accommodation is offered in the full-beam owner’s cabin and a luxury VIP guest cabin situated on the lower deck. The flybridge will have a helm station, seating, table and a wet bar. Sunbathing area with sunbeams will be located on the foredeck. Storage space will allow for a 3.5m tender. To achieve comfortable cruising the yacht will have Volvo engines and underway fin stabilisers.
