From March 31st to April 2nd Coppino Street and the inner basins of Viareggio will host YARE – Yachting After sales & Refit Exhibition, the first international boat show committed to all the services following the purchase of a yacht.
During three days Viareggio will be an important capital of boating industry, thanks to this event aimed to all the industry operators, from builders to brokerage agencies, from designers to suppliers, from registers to marinas.
YARE is the result of a strong action started from Viareggio Community in joint-venture with Lucca Province, Trade Chamber, Lucca Industry Association, Handicraft Association and with the support of the Tuscany Region to contrast the actual difficulties of the sector. The “After Sales” services can represent an interesting answer to sustain the sector and sailing and motor yacht refitting can become a new “core business” of many a Tuscan yard, which are traditionally the most organised and technically efficient in the Italian landscape.
To internationally support YARE, the exhibition established a co-operation with the British Publishing Company The Yacht Report, which is organising the second edition of the Italian Superyacht Forum jointly with YARE with the same formula very successfully experimented for 16 years in Amsterdam in conjunction with METS:
Viareggio is the hub of the Tuscan yachting industry and represents a strategic reference point for the world industry. History, high professionalism, high quality of the building are the ingredients that made the success of this area, being able to match tradition and innovation. From this cradle is born YARE. An international technical event, unique in its formula, over passing the simple boat exhibition, to rather boost the industry and develop all the potential of the local yards.
YARE is aiming to all the operators of the supply chain of refitting activities, to brokerage and charter agencies, to surveyors and designers, to crew recruitment agencies, to registers, to marinas, but also to shipping agencies. All these will be the protagonists of an event that has the ambition to become a strategic rendez-vous for the industry. YARE is working actually to start a co-operation in the next coming years with Seatec, the other specific event organised by the nearby Marina di Carrara fair dedicated to technology, components, accessories, in order to create a larger event all dedicated to technology and work. The aim is to concentrate in this part of Mediterranean Sea a strong offer of events for international markets identifying the area as a strategic hub.
YARE March 31st – April 2nd
The first YARE edition will take place from March 31st to April 2nd. It will be a three day meeting during which the boatyards and the side activities will open their gates and their sheds. During the event are previewed also visits to some Massa, Pisa and Livorno facilities. There will be also an in-water exposition of good examples of refitting and of yachts in charter. YARE is organised by MarEventi, a leading company in in-water events organisation like “Viareggio Mare” in Viareggio and “NavigaMi” on the inland waters of Milano
