The fun kicked off on the four-day Vicem VIP Rendezvous with a welcome reception and “Yacht Hop” on the first evening. A variety of water and land excursions, along with a traditional Bahamian BBQ kept guests busy during daylight hours, while a “White Hot Vicem Nights” white-dress party, complete with junkanoo band, and the “Turkish Treasures” poolside dinner rounded out the evening celebrations on Friday and Saturday.
Vicem owners and friends alike who made the trip remarked on a successful first rendezvous outing by the company. During the “Turkish Treasures” dinner on Saturday evening, guests were treated to a performance by an authentic Turkish belly dancer, and a surprise video presentation of highlights recapping their best rendezvous moments. Guests also got a “sneak peek” look at the new Vicem 46m Vision, the company’s first megayacht currently under construction and set for launch in 2011. Another surprise was in store for broker Dave Mallach, who was recognized by the company for his many years of excellent service and achievement with a $10,000 donation made in his name to the Bodaire School in Haiti.
Vicem CEO Alberto Perrone Da Zara summed it up best, “At Vicem, we are not just owners, brokers, service technicians, managers or presidents, we are a family. And this rendezvous was a wonderful way for us to get together as a family and celebrate Vicem’s past, present and future.
On Sunday morning it was back home to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, with plenty of new friends and great memories in tow.
