Victoria Smith, a current Marketing Coordinator has become a new Operations Manager for both AIMEX as well as Superyacht Australia , as announced today by MaryAnne Edwards CEO of AIMEX and Superyacht Australia.
Edwards stated “Victoria has been with AIMEX for 2 years, is an excellent support for myself and has been an excellent asset for the organisation. With AIMEX now running Superyacht Australia as well as AIMEX it is important we have the resources and expertise to drive both industry sectors forward.”
Victoria’s key role will be to focus on day to day operations for both AIMEX and Superyacht Australia allowing Edwards to focus on key national and international stakeholder relations and government lobbying.
Edwards also announced the appointment of Bev Hackett to the role of Marketing Coordinator, taking over many of the duties previously undertaken by V Smith.
Justyna Wajler who has contributed greatly to management of the organisations finances will continue to look after the accounting side of the business plus assisting with key projects.
AIMEX has gone from strength to strength over the past years under the leadership of Edwards who with the support of a great team and board has created increased profile for the marine export and superyacht sectors and created a number of high profile events. One of these events the Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Awards is coming up on 2nd August at the Sydney International Boat Show and this is now a focus for Victoria and the team, coming off the back of the very successful ASMEX conference.
