Both superbly designed by Philippe Starck for the same owner, Motor Yacht A and Sailing Yacht A can be seen in the video below, released by ‘SuperYachtFan’. At 142,81m (468’), sailing mega yacht A will represent the world’s largest sailing yacht, once completed by Nobiskrug in Germany.
Motor Yacht A
Launched by the German shipyard Blohm + Voss in 2008, with some maintenance done in 2009, Motor Yacht A represents one of the most characteristic luxury yachts around. Built under the project name SIGMA, she can accommodate up to 14 guests in an utmost luxury. Among her notable features belongs the glass roof looking up into one of the two swimming pools.
SAILING YACHT A
Currently under construction at Nobiskrug, Sailing Yacht A, previously reported as White Pearl or hull 787, will span over eight generous decks and will boast a glass underwater observation area. With some of her design features similar to Motor Yacht A, she is expected to comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests and a numerous crew of 54 members. To be powered by a hybrid diesel-electric package with controllable pitch propellers, she will boast the largest composite masts in the world.
