Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts has used its floating dock with 2,500 ton lifting capacity to move 74m/243ft superyacht HULL NB66 from its Kocaeli facility to its yard in Pendik. Watch the video below:
NB66 will now undergo interior installation and outfitting as well as receiving a top coat paint application. The design covers six decks – two of which are below sea level – and such an arrangement can often make the four decks above the waterline appear bulky.
Vallicelli has worked on this issue in collaboration with C. Yacht Design to make the exterior appearance more streamlined, while the interiors by Ken Freivokh evoke classical elegance while retaining modern innovation and layouts. Together, there is a flow between indoor and outdoor spaces that produces long sight-lines.
On the lower deck guests will find a full-beam beach club that opens out onto the swim platform and has fold down terraces on both sides. The tender garage also has a side terrace to launch and retrieve the 9.6m/31.5ft limousine tender, the guest tender and a rescue tender. Forward garage space stores a number of jet skis for adrenaline-fuelled fun at destinations across the world.
In the central lobby, a multi-deck atrium has a spiral staircase as its centrepiece with hand-chosen veneers, marbles, granites and hand-picked leathers used throughout the decor. Across the decks there are options for lounging and dining and a swimming pool to cool off in the sunshine.
On the upper deck the Owner’s apartment is surrounded by a continuous window for panoramic views, and has the further benefit of two side terraces.
The upper deck forward is designed with a touch-n-go helipad, which links directly to the private Owner terrace furnished with an alfresco dining areas and the option of sunbeds and/or a Jacuzzi.
The accommodation provides for up to 14 guests with suites providing the maximum flexibility: Some salons join others to create private salons.
NB66 will undergo sea trials in 16 months followed by delivery in summer 2021.
