Triumphal appearance of the first pre-production ARROW460 Grantrusimo “Mercedes” at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 has got many guests of the show wondering “when, where and how?”. Finally, Silver Arrows Marine has just announced that the ARROW460 – Granturismo styled by Mercedes-Benz will be built in partnership with Baltic Yachts. Outfitting and production of every composite component on the yacht will be conducted at Baltic Yachts’ facility in Jakobstad. Orders for the €2.5 million (plus taxes) ARROW460 are being taken now, and construction of the first commissioned yacht is expected to commence before the end of 2016. During the four-year development programme every component has been designed and tested to ensure it complies with innovative manufacturing concepts for the yacht industry to achieve top quality in every production yacht.
Rob Gibbs, the chairman of Silver Arrows Marine, said: “We have not only developed a new yacht with Mercedes-Benz Style, but also a new industrial concept to build it, inspired by the automotive model where excellence is expected in all aspects and at all levels. Our business model is just as innovative as our yacht and, with Baltic as our shipyard partner, it will continue to be so in the future.”
Announced earlier this year motor yacht designed by Mercedes Benz has won the hearts of both yacht and car enthusiasts around the world. However, only 10 yachts are expected to be produced of the first edition of the vessel.
