Vilanova Grand Marina in Barcelona is a benchmark marina for superyachts in the Mediterranean. The marina offered two-week free dockage to the winners of this year’s Fraser Yachts Captains Dinner and Awards, held last Thursday 23rd September at the exclusive Yacht Club de Monaco. The winners are M/Y Touch, best Charter Crew under 40m; M/Y South, best Charter Crew over 40m; and Captain Butch Vogelsang of M/Y Dream, best Charter Captain of the Year.
This is the second year the marina sponsors Fraser Yachts annual black tie gala function, which gathers captains and crew from around the world and is considered one of the most prestigious evenings in the Monaco Yacht Show calendar. The marina also delighted guests to this event with fine Spanish wine and Jabugo ham.
Management of Vilanova Grand Marina – Barcelona is highly satisfied with their attending the Monaco Yacht Show from 22nd to 25th September 2010. General Manager Ignacio Erroz comments: “We had a fair amount of interest from captains and visitors during the show. We are now coming up to our second winter season and we expect to accommodate around 25 superyachts in our facilities, which represents a 56% increase in comparison to last year’s occupancy”.
