Superyacht Marie has won the popular St Barths Bucket Regatta 2014 in the Elegantes class. Sailing yacht Marie is a majestic 55-metre ketch, built by the premier Dutch shipyard Vitters in 2010.
Luxury yacht Marie’s tactician Tony Rey described the excitement of 38 of the world’s finest superyachts racing around the island as follows: “I didn’t need sun screen because there was so much shade from all the sails around us.”
With her good results in the Elegantes class, Marie superyacht ended up first overall in her class. These spectacular race results also won her the overall honours, based on turning in the best cumulative score among all classes. Vitters’ 55m luxury yacht Adèle came in 3rd in the Elegantes class and the newcomer all-carbon bright green Inouï finished 4th overall in Les Gazelles. Also 46m superyacht Ganesha (2013) and 42m sailing yacht Lady B (2010) reported on a fantastic bucket regatta: fair winds at sea and good fun ashore.
Vitters Shipyard is very proud to sponsor the famous St Barths Bucket regatta.
