The SC Puma tender is provided with a Lloyd’s Register classified workboat construction with professional systems which make this ship suitable for tough circumstances. Furthermore, this bruiser is extremely comfortable sea going, as a result of which she can still function when many other ships have to pull out. This is proven during her recent trip back from Southampton to Rotterdam in heavy following seas. The superstructure has a widened hip that gives her muscle and a sturdy and aggressive appearance. She is fitted for the job and with such a practical size and economical layout, she can be considered a newborn vintage tender that has been designed like a smooth custom made gentleman’s suit, but with integrated gadgets.
The integrated gadgets Vripack and Sima Charters have added to the SC Puma are the following:
a heated cabin with an adjacent covered passage, deck and railing heating to keep the surfaces ice-free, a Hadrian safety rail possibility to attach lifelines along the 70cm wide gangways and a completely heated foredeck surrounded by railings with two easy accessible storage departments. On the lower deck the SC Puma comes with two cabins, both containing one sleeping facility.

Navigation equipment is top of the bill, she is equipped with: two radar’s, sarfinder, computer plotter, AIS, NAVTEX and more.
Other interesting features are the life rafts, which are cleverly stowed away in the storage departments on the aft deck. The engine room is easy accessible and the SC Puma tender is provided with an outside steering console for complicated docking manoeuvres, a wide rubber landing on the bow, a large working area which can carry up to six tonnes on the aft deck as well as automatic searchlights on the mast.
