Yesterday, September 15, saw Oliver Stacey Design announce the launch of a website showcasing the British yacht designer’s concepts, projects, as well as philosophy. With a focus on conveying Oliver’s holistic and meticulous approach to both motor and sailing yachts, the site reflects the understated and focused attitude with which he tackles each design brief.

The website also includes information about three of the studio’s current concepts, at varying degrees of completion, with scope for adaptation to a particular owner’s requirements. These include an 85m motoryacht (with an exploration version based on the same platform also under development), a 55m exploration yacht and a 36m sailing yacht, with naval architecture from Hugh Welbourn.
Having built up a wealth of experience under the pupilage of Martin Francis for over a decade, Oliver has worked on a multitude of interesting high-profile projects and been involved in every level of design work during his career. This experience allows him to marry his meticulous eye for detail with a holistic approach to superyacht usage, from both guest and crew perspectives.

Oliver will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show (on 25–27 September), with a full, printed portfolio of work containing sketches, GAs and renderings.
ABOUT OLIVER STACEY DESIGN
Oliver’s professional expertise is enriched by practical experience, having started his career in yacht construction at Pendennis Shipyard. After a number of years working as a freelance consultant, he developed his knowledge at the cutting edge of superyacht design, working alongside Martin Francis in London. Oliver founded his own studio in 2012.
