Designed for simple navigation which comprises essential links to offer a comprehensive marine service for visiting craft, the beautiful Viaduct Marina in Auckland has recently launched a new website in preparation for the next summer season in a popular yacht charter destination – New Zealand. The marina is owned and operated by Waterfront Auckland, along with Silo Park Superyacht Marina as well as Westhaven Marina.

Marina manager Alex Atkinson advises, “Running parallel to the website development we have completed many beneficial changes and marina improvements with emphasis on ‘making the visit easy’ for Superyacht captains and owners.” Also through working closely with official authorities such as Customs, Immigration and Bio Security the Marina is now fully operational as a ‘Transitional Facility’. Atkinson explains, “This allows superyachts entering New Zealand to arrive direct at our Marina, eliminating the hassle to complete clearance procedures at an alternative location.”
Viaduct Marina is the home of Team NZ (host to the 2000 and 2003 America’s Cup) and Louis Vuitton. It is the largest and best equipped superyacht facility in the southern hemisphere, employing highly skilled and specialised staff.
POSITION
Viaduct Marina is situated in the heart of Auckland. Centrally located on the southern side of Auckland’s Waitemata harbour, Viaduct Marina is on the doorstep of the Hauraki Gulf’s stunning cruising grounds, and provides a convenient base for Pacific cruising.
Never too far away from the action, Viaduct Marina is the ideal place to berth to be near world-class events. A number of high profile sailing and yachting events have been hosted in Auckland in recent years. In 2000 and 2003 the Viaduct Harbour hosted two America’s Cup challenges and in early 2012 the Viaduct hosted the Volvo Ocean Race Auckland stopover. Home to Team NZ, the area is now a world-class marine precinct supporting world class riggers, engineers and boat builders.

Viaduct Marina maintains fifty berths accommodating superyachts and smaller vessels between 20m and 55m:

– Five 40m berths
– Thirty 30m berths
– Seven 20m berths
The marina provides 24-hour security for yachts, parking, power, internet access and can manage all the MAF and customs approval requirements on-site. Its on-call experienced team is available 24/7 to facilitate and support one’s superyacht arrival, haulout and hardstand requirements.
