The American Yard Westport has provided info about its 65-metre flagship motor yacht concept W65. Designed by Gregory C Marshall, the W65 is part of a brief to meet client demands that also includes a new 45-metre design and a revamped W112 yacht. W65 is going to be built from a displacement hull at a parent company, Chouest’s Mississippi facility.
There are amenities such as the foredeck water toy storage area, a fully-fledged superyacht beach club and an elevator giving access to all decks.
The W65 will be one of the largest yachts ever built in the US. Director of sales Alex Rogers, recently said at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show that the Westport W65 is going to have great deck areas and a foredeck water toy storage area leaving the transform free for a fully-fledged beach club. He also explained that the superstructure could be built from either composites or aluminium depending on the choice of the client.
Still at the concept stage, W65’s engineering has already been completed in-house. She has a total interior volume of between 300 and 500 GT. This exciting composite design will also feature an elevator giving smooth access to all decks.
