C A Clase, European distributor for the Nauticomp range of navigation and information displays, has announced that Westport Yachts has listed Nauticomp as a standard fit for its future range of pilot house and tri deck superyachts.
Andrew Bush, Managing Director, C A Clase commented: “Westport Yachts has built a strong reputation for high quality, ocean going motor yachts with bridge systems designed for today’s professional skipper. The choice of Nauticomp has confirmed that these superb displays are at the forefront of navigation technology for both professional and pleasure boating.”
Nauticomp’s Glass Bridge Display® offers the industry’s largest display in the smallest chassis, providing the skipper of the yacht with the clearest information by maximising the screen space available. Interface circuits allow up to 10 inputs to be displayed while Picture in Picture (PIP) facilitates all inputs, or any combination, to be displayed simultaneously if required. Inputs can be DVI, VGA, NTSC and component HDTV.
Building to stringent IP 67 standards, Nauticomp has used the latest glass bonding technology which has been optically enhanced. The units therefore not only provide superb clarity and readability, even in full sunlight, but are also totally waterproof and free of any possible misting in a humid environment.
The advanced dynamic brightness technique, allows the user to control brightness levels of every input. Highly efficient LED backlight technology has been incorporated into this new generation to reduce power draw at all levels, while Nauticomp’s celebrated Dim to Red feature makes the Glass Bridge Display® a class leader for night operation, dimming to 2 nits in black or red.
The Nauticomp 12″, 15″, and 19″ models are available as daylight viewable for pilothouse applications, and sunlight viewable for bridge stations. The industry leading 21.3″ Glass Bridge Display®, has been developed for the most prestigious Pilothouse and Bridge applications aboard today’s prestigious superyachts and the demanding requirements of the professional skipper.
