The new WIDER 165 CECILIA is taking shape, following the arrival of her hull and superstructure in the WIDER Superyacht Division’s state of the art facility in Italy’s Ancona in October 2015. Delivered with her sun deck detached to facilitate transport, CECILIA can now show her sleek and well-proportioned profile, with the sun deck welded to the main superstructure.
As final arrangements for interior cabinetry were being made in the WIDER design office, shipyard workers busily lay piping and cables throughout the interior of the vessel. In total approximately 70 km of wiring will be used, including the sizeable main cables carrying power from the four variable speed diesel generators in the bow to the electric motors above the pods in the stern.
Although sharing a similar design brief with the WIDER 150 GENESI, the 50-metre CECILIA will boast some notable differences, including her capability to store a personal submarine in the beach club, and the altered fore deck that incorporates two circular tables and seating areas together with a fantastic hot tub as well as a private helicopter pad.
Moreover, she will bear the distinctive and appealing features that have made WIDER Superyachts stand alone in the market, including the generous WIDER Beach and spacious master stateroom with a lovely private terrace overlooking the sea.
